Okay, guys, I have been tired and cranky and unproductive and whatnot lately, and I have decided the solution to this is to take a break from the internet. Sort of.
So! Here are the new rules for my internet usage for the next two weeks:
1. No LiveJournal, DreamWidth, JournalFen, or InsaneJournal for the next two weeks. This includes communities, anonymous memes, and sockpuppets.
1.5 Exceptions: I am allowed to make a once a week "I Am Bad At Videogames" round-up post. I am also allowed to post any fanfiction if I write any.
2. No tumblr or twitter. With one exception (see 3).
3. I am allowed to play Echo Bazaar. However, once I have used up my actions, I have to close the tab and am not allowed to open Echo Bazaar again until all my actions refresh. THIS IS A NEW RULE FOR ALL TIME.
4. No baseball blogs either. Boxscores on MLB.com are acceptable.
5. I can check my e-mail up to 4 times a day. NO MORE THAN THAT. And I am not allowed to use e-mail to "chat."
6. I can buy things on the internet.
7. I can play most videogames as much as I want.
7.5 Videogames I am not allowed to play: Solitaire, Spider solitaire, Freecell, Zilch, Peggle, Bejeweled, Bubbleshooter, Minesweeper, and that pinball game that came with my computer. That cartridge of timewaster games my mom has for the Nintendo DS is okay, but on a time limit.
8. During these two weeks, I have to spend at least 15 minutes a day cleaning. Bagging and boarding comics and rearranging my bookshelf counts, but I should clean out my car, clean off my desk, and put all my clothes away first.
9. I can watch as much TV as I like, but any CSI (any flavor), Law & Order (any flavor), Forensic Files, Cold Case, or The First 48 Hours episode I have already seen are banned.
10. Go to bed at something like a regular person hour.
