So last night I had this dream, which is kind of vague, but basically, I totally helped Johnny Weir out with something while he was traveling or something? (I am not 100% sure what this awesome thing I did was, but apparently I was awesome.) And later he wanted to know what he could do to repay my awesomeness, and I was like "Can you ask Livejournal to gift me some XP or something?" And apparently he did, because I woke up sure in the knowledge that I had hit LiveJournal level cap.

I DO NOT EVEN KNOW, YOU GUYS.

In Things That Actually Have A Leveling System In Real Life news, today my baby paladin dinged 68. (from exploration) And then I spent like three hours getting her mining, jewelcrafting, and first aid up to 350 so she could train Grand Master in all of them and head off to Northrend. NORTHREND. OMG.

You guys, WHAT IF I HIT LEVEL CAP BEFORE CATA LAUNCHES. IT COULD TOTALLY HAPPEN AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WILL DO IN THIS CASE. (Answer: probably max out jewelcrafting LIKE A BOSS.) Should I save up my justice points or should I actually buy any of the tier gear? Or, wait, there's jewelcrafting stuff I buy with justice points too, isn't there? IDK. What rep grinds are absolutely necessary if I want to max JC by Cata if possible?

Also also, Borean Tundra vs. Howling Fjord?

Also I now have like 14g to my name since a very nice mage ported me to Dalaran and I picked up Cold Weather Flying. :D:

I did all of Howling Fjord and half of Borean Tundra, and had more fun in HF. Saying that, at least one quest chain in HF seems to end unsatisfactorily if you don't do the counterpart in BT, so...idk. Do both! Lots of rep that way.

I am TOTALLY hitting the level cap before Cataclysm. :DDDD After that I'll be levelling up my professions (maybe even cooking, which is still sitting at 1 point) and going back to grind rep for my favourite factions. I've heard anything you buy with justice point seem super expensive right now because it's all been balanced for the amount you'll be earning at 85, though, so you might want to stockpile those for a while.

Howling Fjord's prettier and mostly more interesting, though I actually bailed on both for Dragonblight ASAP. Later, I went back and did all of the Tuskarr quests in both zones, which are worth doing I think because they're kind of interested and also because if you do all the quests they'll put you about halfway through Revered and there's an awesome fishing pole that you can buy from them at Exalted (I'm getting close! Just about a week more of their dailies and I think I'll be able to pick it up).

Just so you know, Zul'Drak's fugly and dank and I haaaaate it. I really wish I didn't want the Loremaster title (eventually) because I'm going to have to do HOW MANY QUESTS THERE? But! Sholazar's PRETTY, and a super-awesome alternative to Zul'Drak for levelling.

PS, omg, random dungeon finder ILU. Between the loot in dungeons and the dungeon quest rewards, I am in nearly ALL BLUES NOW, I just need a belt.

Yeah, I'd say save your JP, the thing is, when the new content in the old world hits, green is gonna be the new purple. I mean, unless you're looking to try and catch up to a raiding guild and take down Arthas or something before Cata hits? Otherwise, save 'em.

I'm still in the low 70s and not done questing there, but I enjoy HF much more than BT.

Oh man, yeah, you'd be playing Alliance, so I have no idea. /o\ And considering the reason I had so much fun was that the Forsaken's Hand of Vengeance faction is the starting area in HF, and I was crunching Alliance into the ground...sorry! I didn't even think. On the other hand I'll be interested to see what you think of the Ally side, because the Horde signed up a new (non-playable, obviously) race that I hadn't heard about before, the Taunka.

I'm thinking by the time I get to the level cap it'll be very close to Cata, so gearing up won't be a big deal because I'll be replacing it with quest greens in the new zones anyway. But those heirlooms are very, very tempting. Stacking 10% XP bonuses from the spellcaster shoulder and chest pieces, for a dungeon-grinding priest? GIVE IT TO ME.

Heh, I hope I keep on enjoying tanking as much as the little bit I've tried. It was so weird to queue up in the dungeon finder, think to myself "Hmm, I need to empty my bags-" and bam, a group has been formed!

Also!

If you need money, try soloing/duoing Stratholme. A million pieces of runecloth, loads of green BoE drops (and even a few blues for me), and some Righteous Orbs if you're lucky, because they tend to go for a premium (and I could disenchant al the blue BoP drops too). Plus if you put your Argent Dawn trinket on you'll get dozens of Minion/Invader scourgestones and a Corruptor's scourgestone from every boss for Argent Dawn rep, as well as from every kill. And a 1% chance of a mount from the final boss! I think that might be disappearing in Cata.

I had no problem soloing it as a 71 warlock, so I can't see a paladin having any trouble.

There is! There's three Tuskarr towns with flight paths. The stuff in Borean Tundra is kinda dull (though much of which is super-easy), I liked Dragonblight well and there's some really interesting stuff in Howling Fjord with the plundering pirates (which you do have to go most of to do all your Tuskarr quest rep and to open up the daily in that zone).

I feel like I should warn you that the daily quest in Borean Tundra is NOT in the town with a flight path, but over in Kaskala, which is their main settlement that they had to flee from. I SPENT A LONG TIME NOT FIGURING THAT OUT. (I asked wowhead about Tuskarr rep and thus figured out why my Tuskarr rep was still so awful, which is that i hadn't done like 70% of the quests /o\.) There's also stuff up by the quarry.
