I went to Lima and got my comics today! This is mostly notable on account of I just have not had the energy to do this on Wednesday for the past few weeks and this time I did! Also, I finally sucked it up and begged them to let me stop buying Brightest Day. I purchased the two issues they had set aside for me out of politeness, but now I AM DONE. I NEVER HAVE TO BUY IT AGAIN. HUZZAH.
This evening, I tried to read those two issues to get it out of the way before I read the comics I bought that I, like, actually want to read and I got about two pages into Brightest Day #3 before I decided it was just too boring to read while I'm not stuck at work. So I guess I'm not reading anything until tomorrow again, because I always must save the things I actually want to read for last. It's my system, okay?
Anyway, on the drive home from Lima, I found myself thinking about that massive Star-Spangled AU I never wrote, but still want to. But what I really thought about was not so much the story (although I do need to get my old laptop working well enough to rescue that collection of Gimmick Girl Star-Spangled Comics issues so I can get a better handle on Merry) but more trying to figure out AU Hank's costume. It's really hard figuring out what colors things should be, okay? Especially when I really want him to have a white jacket, which makes the possible shirt colors an issue! Perhaps I will figure this out and sketch up the costume as part of my drawing practice! :D?
I think I also need to get back into the habit of working on fic at work sometimes. I've hardly written anything this year and my lack of productivity is starting to make me feel crap.
