I was actually not planning on running any WoW stuff today after work because I hardly slept at all last night, but I got home and was online dicking around with some banking stuff and doing some quests up in the Hinterlands when SC was like HAY WANT TO DO THOSE SWAMP OF SORROWS QUESTS YOU HAVE? So we spent like two hours dicking around in Swamp of Sorrows and kept accidentally flagging near Stonard because of my stupid Retribution Aura. And I finished NAT PAGLE ANGLER EXTREME and that stupid Tanaris cooking quest AND pretty much all the quests in the swamp. (Note! SC and I doing an escort quest together: hilarious.)
And then he went off to do some stuff on another server. (One of our mutual friends is running Zul'Gurub over and over and over before it goes away with Cata/patch 3.9.) And I was like "I will finish exploring Swamp of Sorrows!" and then I spent like an hour and a half flying all the hell over the place turning in quests. And then I got the smart idea to finish exploring Ashenvale, since I felt like just tooling around a bit, and hey, Ashenvale's a 20-35 zone! It's totally no big deal to explore it now, and I remembered to put on my Devotion Aura in case I accidentally aggroed any of the Horde guards. And FUCK FUCK FUCK WHAT IS THAT WHY ARE THERE SKULL MOBS OH MY GOD WHY. Luckily it was the last part of the zone I had to discover? :D? And I didn't even aggro any of them so there.

Anyway, ooh, shammy. I am thinking about making a shammy in Cata when dwarves get them. (Especially if I make it a lady dwarf with the two braids down her back, because when that dwarf lady casts, her hair floats around and it's hilarious.) Then again, I also want to make a troll druid and a goblin warlock in Cata, so basically I am going to be doing SO MUCH ALT LEVELING. :D

And heh, I have all these lvl 10-20 alts that I made just because I wanted to give the class a try and still intend to level at some point ... I think the only classes I haven't played at all are warrior and paladin. I eventually had to tell myself to go concentrate on levelling my main, ffs, or I'd have ended up never seeing the higher level game.
Shammies are awesome for soloing (I'm a dual-wielding enhancement shaman and I do really decent spell and melee damage while also being very hard to kill. Occasionally I almost feel bad over all the incredibly imba mana regen instant heal water walking shammie abilities.) and really versatile, which is fun. Definitely give it a go! (Although I'm not sure how I feel about dwarven shammies! Dwarves are just so ... not at peace with the Earthmother, you know? :DD Floaty braids make for a good argument tho.)

Anyway, I'll be RPing my shammy dwarf as being a Wildhammer dwarf, not a Bronzebeard one, which I think makes up a lot of the "bzuh?" factor of dwarf shamans. I think I'm going to go elemental with her for the first forty levels and then think about switching to enhancement when you get dual wield.
