Kingdom Hearts 14: In which I hit a wall.

World: Olympus Coliseum, Traverse Town
Gameplay: 16:15
Level: 22

I AM SO STUCK.

Okay, so the barrel thing turned out to NOT BE HARD. I think I thought I had to lift and throw them, when I could actually just hit them until they sploded. So I finished that fairly quickly. That meant that Phil decided to let us train at the Coliseum. We fought a lot of magic Heartless and learned how to use Thunder magic and it was pretty great!

Then I had to fight Cloud, which was not as hard as I might have expected, and I am fairly sure I won. It helped that I went to Deep Jungle first so I had Cure. Anyway, then Cerberus showed up, and I did not realize that was an optional boss, so I fought it anyway, and won that too. And then uh, THEN I DID SOMETHING STUPID which is not realize when the game threw me back on my ship that I was actually supposed to get back on my ship and go somewhere, and I spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out what it was in the Coliseum I needed to do to move on. Answer: THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO AT THIS POINT. I only discovered this when I decided to go to GameFAQs.

So I went back to Traverse Town! According to said GameFAQs I am supposed to be able to do the following things:
1. Give my Navi-G pieces to Cid.
2. Find a red trinity mark in the alleyway to open the sewers so I can talk to Leon.

Am I just stupid? Because I cannot figure out how to make the game let me give the pieces to Cid at all. Is there something I'm supposed to do first so it will let me do this?

I also cannot find the Red Trinity that opens the grate to the sewer, but possibly I need to examine the grate to do this? I don't know! My point is that it was not apparent and by that point I'd been so pissed off about getting stuck between two fatty Heartless over and over in small walkways that I just shut off the game and decided NO MORE for tonight.

This game is so non-intuitive.

edit: Okay! I looked at a different FAQ and it says that I have to talk to Leon before I can give my Navi-G pieces to Cid. So, that's about 50% less frustrating now, and I am fairly sure I know what to do.

ALSO something awesome happened that I forgot to tell you about in my frustration! DONALD HAS BECOME MILDLY USEFUL. NO REALLY.

1. When we were in the Coliseum, he totally Thunder magicked before I thought to and took out like half our one-hit-point-wonder enemies. Sure, he burned through all his MP immediately, but it was nice.

2. When I got stuck between fatty Heartless in Traverse Town, I started to have low Health and was about to heal myself, when DONALD DID IT FOR ME.

I was so stunned I didn't know what to do. I know eventually this will become irritating, but apparently what Donald needed to become useful was Cure and MP Rage. Okay, "useful" is stretching it, but not The Load, anyway.

EDIT2: Never mind! I have figured it out! And talked to Merlin! And the Fairy Godmother! And unlocked the Hundred Acre Wood! \o/

OH POOH IS SO SAD, YOU GUYS. :(
