my elves, let me show you them

SC came over this weekend and basically was like "Show me your alts!" and we sort of hashed out what I'm doing with them, and he sort of helped me navigate around Silvermoon (by which I mean "find Silvermoon proper"), etc. etc.

Anyway, my Night Elf Hunter I was mostly planning to solo with (especially once he got a pet), but he's actually the first character I've ended up in a random party with, since the starting Night Elf area is pretty populous. It was a good idea, though, since hunters in caves isn't a great idea. Anyway, I sort of failed it up, but the priest who was with us was also kind of a n00b and the other two hadn't played Night Elves in a while, so it was fairly low drama.

And later, he hit level 10, and I took him to Dun Morogh and got him a bear for a pet! I was going to get him one of the bears from Loch Modan, but they were all level 11 or higher, and I couldn't find a level 9 bear in Dun Morogh, so his bear is level 7, but that's okay! We can work with that.

Also, I've decided I'm probably going to go with a Holy/healing talent spec for my Blood Elf paladin, and mostly play him in random instances once he gets more than a few talent points into that spec. (Does anyone have recommendations for an add-on for managing healing in parties? SC uses a grid-type add-on, but says there are others that have slightly more intuitive interfaces that I would probably prefer.) But I won't be doing this until I've done at least a few random instances with my Draenei paladin in a party with SC's paladin. Because I am shy. But the belf is only level 8 right now anyway, so I've got time to plan all this out, anyway.

I feel bad for being on an RP server and not really coming up with personalities for my characters, but I don't know enough about the world yet. Although, as SC pointed out, that wouldn't be that odd coming from a Draenei, anyway. (And then I threatened to say "'N00b' is what you call a foreigner in this place, yes?" in character.) Honorata did have a run-in with a helpful gnome lady whom I hope I run into again because she seemed really nice.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] violin_road! Your friend started talking to me on WoW when I was signed in as Honorata, and nearly gave me a heart attack because just before then, I'd been on as my Night Elf and some dude kept following me around to be an asshole, and I was totally freaked until she(?) told me she knew you off-line.
