i just doubled my gold with one mail from the auction house

So when I made my character on WoW, SC sent me bags and 200 starter gold for class & profession training/occasional gear/being able to use the AH earlier/occasional engineering mats/etc. I got down to about 150g and decided I needed to start making money. I've mostly been selling ore, decent greens*, fish that are alchemy reagents, and I bought one of all the starting area Alliance pets and put them up at serious mark-up on the neutral Auction House. This has largely gone well. Between the AH and vendoring cooked products instead of raw meats, I'd gotten back up over 200g in about a week.

But while I was traveling around to the Alliance cities to get my test run Alliance pets for the Neutral AH, SC told me about the White Kitten, an Alliance-only pet that comes from an NPC in Stormwind that respawns every few hours and has but one kitten to sell every time he spawns. Yesterday, I ran into this NPC. After some deliberation, I decided to try sell that kitten to a Hordie via the goblin market and I HAVE NO REGRETS.**

*I've got the Enchantrix mod for Auctioneer and I'm still not sure how to price crappy greens so that Enchanters can buy them to DE and sell the results at profit, though.

**Yes, my UI is a mess and I still haven't gotten Pally Power set up. Shhh.

There's a level 21 enemy in Silverpine that drops a cat carrier you can sell for 600g a time. I went out of my way to get it a couple of times and the sales funded all my characters on that server. :D Plus engineering gets schematics for a mechanical chicken which you can sell for ridiculous amounts of gold. People go nuts for the pets!

I'll have to farm that on my Horde toon so I can get decent cash over on that server. (Although that server has a ridiculous economy. I've sold a stack of copper ore for 6g there. That's almost twice what I can sell it for on my Alliance server.)

I love the engineering pets. Those, guns, and apparently high level ammo are like the only things from Engineering that make any money.
