85 levels, 0 kills: Part 2

I haven't been playing my rogue who doesn't kill much, partially because I've been focusing on other toons, and partially because I want to get her some heirlooms before I really settle in. bonus XP from the few quests she can do will be really nice.

However, here are some screenshots of her few adventures from this week.

The Red Snapper - Very Tasty! quest was about 30 seconds of catching fish, and 15 minutes of this:

After a bit more exploring and some herbing/mining, Dovie dinged level 5, which means she learned Stealth!

yaaaaay!

Then, the Lunar Festival started, which earned Dovie a mad 45 exp to go to Moonglade to talk to some night elf:

but she got a bit more from exploration!

Then, tragedy struck!

HOW WILL SHE EVER RETURN HOME? :O (Spoilers.)

Next week: LEVEL 6. MAYBE.

(In news about other characters, SC talked me into running normal Grim Batol with him twice today, and even though I am super rusty on Honor, I had enough fun I went and quested through Mount Hyjal on her to get the boot upgrade from the Guardians of Hyjal. It was a fun zone, except for that godawful Joust thing, which is still in my questlog. Also, what is up with how easy it is to get to Revered with the Guardians? Guardians: quest in the zone until you're done! Everything else: quest in the zone/up to three different zones until you're done, at which point you'll be maaaaybe 2/5 of the way through Honored. Then again, does Hyjal even have dailies? What is with the lack of dailies this expac?)

Hyjal has no dailies, but completing the questline in the zone does land you at a chunk into Revered. Earthen Ring also has no dailies and also only lands you into Honoured which is seriously WTF considering they're in THREE zones. But you don't get that many Earthen Ring specific quests, so, yeah, it sucks. Also what the hell is up with their only quartermaster being in the MIDDLE of Vashj'ir?? And then Ramkahen only has two, which are easy but also augh wtf. And the sand pygmie one makes me want to punch the developers.

Which leaves Dragonmaw and Therazane as the only reps that AREN'T super-annoying to grind (I'm assuming Wildhammer isn't more annoying than Dragonmaw, but I don't actually know). Hellscream's Reach or the Alliance equivalent, well, there's dailies (more, if your side holds Tol Barad) but AUGH OH MY GOD AUGH. DIE INSTARESPAWNS DIE AND STAY THAT WAY.

ETA: Also, re: Joust, I found that using the keyboard to spam the mount abilities to stay in the air (and navigating via mouse, obvs) was the only way to get through it. It sucked and I hated it but at least I got a pet and an achieve out of it it.

Dragonmaw's got five dailies which are pretty easy if you're careful about it; one's labelled a group quest but I've found it's perfectly viable to do it solo as a mage (my husband reports it viable on a paladin, too).

And ack, yeah, distance being hard to judge would make that set of quests even worse. And it's not like it was fun in the first place, I was SO GLAD when I got through with it. Hilariously, at this point I have switched to using the keyboard for my abilities and I think that quest might have contributed to my desire to not use the mouse. Because omg, what. Who thought this was going to be fun?

The shaman... casts lightning bolts? That's about all I've ever noticed but then I am caster DPS so I do that quest from 30 yards away and the friendly NPC spawns run in to deal with the potential adds so I have basically never been in melee range, dunno if he does anything else if you are up close. There's one add that I take out first, actually, before I go after MacKilligan because otherwise I end up with him on me but even if I don't get him first it's still totally doable.

The rest of our quests are blowing up kegs of ale, stealing food stores, Wildhammer insignia, and taking out some of the mounted gryphon riders.

Next content patch Hyjal is supposed to get 16 or so daily quests - once they open up the Raid there, apparently. I'm guessing that each cycle will have some new daily quests to support the new raids.
