Finally got around to reading some comics
Look, I have had a VERY BUSY WEEK.
Red Robin 12
I think this was technically from a few weeks ago and I forgot to pick it up when it came out? Anyway, Tim is not like Batman, Ra's! TIM HAS FRIENDS. I recall that a lot of my friends list really liked this, and I cannot disagree. It was a good comic book.

Steph remains super adorable. There is nothing, like, exceptionally awesome about this issue, but it was good for what it was.
Binary to ASCII translations again! The main techno-zombies are saying "detain target" when they go after Babs. on the last page when some of the techno-Zombie'd superheroes are coming after Steph, they are saying "kill!!!" Or, in the case of the Huntress, "killkill!!!"
Birds of Prey 1
Oh, Ed Benes, I did not miss you.
I love Hawk and Dove, but man, would someone please pull Hank BACK FROM THE LEDGE. I understand that dying and coming back is kind of traumatic, and that Hank was always a LITTLE CRAZY, but right now he's like some sort of timewarp back to the comics of 1992, you know? I sort of imagine everyone else being drawn in a modern style, and Hank shows up drawn by Liefeld or some shit.
I am, however, so excited about the addition of Dawn to the team. She and most of the Birds, but especially Lady Blackhawk, are going to disagree on MOST THINGS and it is going to be great.
Also, I really liked the bit with Babs and Dinah and Helena on the roof, and Dinah was trying not to have an emotion, and then Helena had one instead. FRANDS.
I have no real thoughts on the plot yet. I will consider, but it's kind of hard to tell until a story's gone another issue or so. I'll be a little pissed if it's Cass and she's still ev0l. Oh, comics.
Adventure Comics 11 (514)
Adventure had been all caught up in Last Stand of New Krypton, which, frankly, sucked, and this was sort of part of that story, but I really liked this issue, because we're starting to get into legit Legion of Super-Heroes territory. Lord Valor seeding the worlds and making bargains with Saturnians! Chameleon possibly fucking up the time stream, but not too much! OH I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEW LEGION BOOK TO START YOU GUYS. The variant cover has Saturn Girl on it AND I AM SO PISSED I DIDN'T REQUEST IT. My life is so haaaaard.
Booster Gold 32
I actually liked this a little less than I expected to, possibly because I'm starting to get a little tired of Giffen & DeMatteis's love affair with themselves, although I ADMIT THAT I LAUGHED when the credits were like "So, we're peeing all over Dan Jurgens's beloved creation. AGAIN." But that does not mean that I think it is bad? Just not 10000% awesome.
Um, also, holy crap I liked this Emerald Empress's outfit. It is cute. If I could bring myself to wear white leggings, I would so cosplay in that outfit LET ME TELL YOU WHAT. I am such a weirdo Emerald Empress fangirl. (It's because I am like 95% sure the Eye of Ekron is partially comprised of Starheart, okay?)
I'll be interested to see what happens with the little girl from the future Booster has somehow accidentally adopted. SMOOTH MOVE BOOSTER GOLD.
Justice League Generation Lost 1
Um, I liked it! I am so interested to see how much of "Max was always evil" they retcon out, and how much will remain because I can't tell if Max is bullshitting Booster, or if he's telling the truth, or if he's telling the truth and ALSO HE IS EVIL AND CRAZY and HE CONVINCED THE WORLD HE DOESN'T EXIST and TELEPATHS ARE SO AWESOME and Max Lord is such a crazy person WE'RE BFF RIGHT BOOSTER, OH MY GOD (I am clearly going with that last one). And I am so glad that they are now taking the tack that Max, even if he is 100% evil and not working on some CRAZY PLAN wasn't always, which explains why, you know, J'ONN FAILED TO NOTICE back in the day!
Anyway, I am so excited about Tora's story in this, and Tora and Bea being friends! OH I LOVE THEM SO MUCH AND REALLY DO NEED TO WRITE SOME STORIES ABOUT THEM.
My point is, THIS BOOK BETTER NOT WIND UP SUCKING OKAY.

So can I marry Daniel Acuña's art? Because this book is so pretty.
I do not love this issue as much as I loved the previous one, but it is pretty good and I am still so interested in this story, and after reading all sorts of books with all sorts of ~sexy ladies~ art it was nice to see a book about a lady with arty art that wasn't all about ~how sexxxxy she is~, you know?
Anyway, I should probably add this to my pull list or something.
I totally skipped watching Dancing With the Stars tonight to watch baseball instead because I just didn't feel like DWTS. Baseball was terrible, by the way, since in the first inning Jhonny Peralta collided with/landed on Asdrubal Cabrera, and BROKE CABRERA'S ARM.
And also, then the Indians led the game for a while, but Rays came back and won it in extras on a WALKOFF BUNT I HATE EVERYTHING.
My point here is that I actually feel a bit like writing some (mostly gen, I think) baseball fic about Jhonny and Asdrubal now. Or something. Poor Droobs. :(
