So I've ventured into the world of ranged DPS (baaaaaby shadow priest). It's kind of awesome? I had no idea how calm and not at all confusing dungeons are when you're not spending the whole time covered in nameplates, jumping out of AoEs, and staring a boss knees. Not that I don't love melee DPS: it's fun for me in a way ranged DPS isn't. But as ranged I feel so... calm and like I know what I'm doing instead of flailing around facerolling.

I mean, I still kind of faceroll, but whatever.

The Wailing Caverns group I got was great except some people hadn't been in there before and fell off the ledge and got attacked by stuff and died and folks went back to rez them, and this would be fine except that the tank was like "So I think a prot pally could solo this at level," and decided to go try to do so instead of waiting for us to regroup. I was so angry at him the whole time. Boo. At least the rogue and hunter who kept dying got decent gear out of the mess.

The Shadowfang Keep run was much better, although full of people who had done the dungeon on heroic mode since Cata, but not on regular since the patch, so it was sort of an adventure. Man, I love bear tanks. And we had a dwarf shammy healer! also awesome!

I'm still not exactly sure what the protocol is for rolling on spirit gear as a shadow priest since spirit is actually not a bad stat for us, but I don't want to take stuff from heals? I don't know. MADNESS.

Also, I am fairly sure my DPS is shit, but it's cool. ONE DAY I WILL LEARN MIND CONTROL AND IT'S GONNA BE AWESOME.
