Oct. 20th, 2011 04:19 pmGood lord, have I really not updated in almost a month? Wow. So, I guess I haven't really had much to say lately, but let's give it a quick run-down.
* World of Warcraft has still pretty much eaten my life. Raid team has 5 of 7 hard modes down and is close on the sixth (Alysrazor). (Yep, that's right. We killed Baleroc the ridiculous gear check boss well before we killed the "pretty easy if you DON'T STAND IN FIRE" boss. Which should tell you everything you need to know about my raid team and our love of deliciouscandy fire.) And then we get to wipe on hard mode Ragnaros until the new raid instance is released! Yeah!
I also got my druid to 85, and I've been trying to heal random heroic dungeons with her, but man. The regular, non-Zandalari heroic dungeons are now full of people who want to be carried to phat lewt and there comes a point where, no. No. I just can't heal you through that.
I'm getting back into PvP a bit as well, but mostly world PvP (my guild got bored and trolled Undercity for a couple hours two nights ago. It was good times.) and battlegrounds. I don't know if I'll get back into arenas next season or not. Maybe.
* I am pretty excited about Star Wars: The Old Republic. Excited enough I might even play, although I'll need to make sure I have actual people who will play it with me, because MMOs by yourself get boring! If I wind up playing Republic side, I'll probably be a Jedi Consular. If I end up playing Empire side, I'll probably be a bounty hunter, although there's a Sith class not terribly unlike Jedi Consular that also could be cool. (Cool story: Google Chrome's internal spell check acknowledges "Jedi" but not "Sith.")
* I'm finally reading the copy of Mists of Avalon that my high school English teacher gave me when I graduated. Mainly my opinion on it is that I wish I'd read it around the same time it was given to me because I think I would have liked parts of it then a lot more than I do now. Or at least given it a lot more of a pass for certain things.
* Thinking about poking at Nanowrimo again this year, so I'm brainstorming on that. What I'm coming up with right now is roughly what would happen if My So-Called Life and The Chronicles of Narnia had some sort of lovechild. Which I guess is pretty cool.
* Internet crush remains internet crush. I don't know, guys. It's fucking complicated.
